Medusa Estudio
A photography management system for beach and ski resort operations — built to work offline in remote Patagonian locations, from first conversation to production in 6 days.
The Challenge
Medusa Estudio photographs hundreds of beachgoers daily during peak season in Las Grutas, Patagonia. Their biggest problem: no reliable internet at remote beach and ski resort locations. They were losing photos, duplicating work, and couldn't process sales on-site. Every connectivity drop meant lost revenue.
The Solution
An offline-first architecture: the entire system works without internet, storing photos and transactions locally, then syncs to the cloud when connectivity returns. Batch upload handles hundreds of photos at once. A customer-facing gallery with cart and checkout lets clients browse and buy on-site — online or off.
The Result
From first conversation to production in 6 days. The platform now handles thousands of orders per season across a team of 20+ photographers, processing over 100,000 photos with a 98.5% delivery rate. The system runs their entire daily workflow — upload, organize, sell, and deliver — whether there's internet or not.
